Holy cow. I *finally* posted some of my projects on Flickr. They date all the way back to June, I think. I still have the scrapbook pages to get on there, but I need to scan them, and didn't feel like it last night. This one I did on "art day" with Shelly a few weeks ago. It's hanging on the wall near my side of the bed, so I see every morning. A good reminder of my word this year, and of the way I want to approach life.

Tonight my friend Missy and I are heading downtown to Scarlet Empress - an adorable little scrapbook store. Missy got us signed up for a travel journal class that should be pretty great. Looking forward to that.

Other than that, we are making progress on our kitchen remodel. And looking forward to Mom visiting in another week (yay!).

Morning ritual

I don't usually like to brag, but I have the best husband in the world. Seriously.

One of the things we have been doing on the weekends is having coffee in bed before we get up and get going (usually on house remodel projects). This may not sound like much, but it involves one of us (Dave) getting up, taking the dogs over to the other house (where the kitchen currently lives), letting the dogs out, feeding them, making coffee and then carrying the cups back to me (waiting in bed).

I'm the luckiest girl in the world. (Love you, honey. You are the best.)(And thank you, Shelly for the coffee mugs!)
